About
Naked chemistry is a consciously beauty product company that offers clean yet effective ingredients that help to hydrate skin, lighten hyperpigmentation and soothe irritation without harmful ingredients like fillers, fragrance or preservatives.
Research & Interviews
We researched previous users of the website from a list of previous buyers and people who were subscribed. We only received two responses back out of 5 responses. There could be a few reasonings behind the small feedback sample. (small business, users didn't have time, incentives etc).
We asked questions on the current checkout process. Are products easy to find on the website?
Are products placed in an order that make sense? Is the landing page easy to navigate? Does the header bring you to where you want to go?
We sat down with the owner and went over mvps that she wanted to integrate into her new landing page.
After receiving feedback from the users and sitting down with the owner we came up with a list of MVP's.
MUST HAVES:
1. SEO
2. Recycling page info ( doesn’t need its own page but needs to be one main page!)
3. Single page experience that makes it easy to shop
4.Main banner with pics and slide show
5.Sticky header
6. “Vegan, sustainable, cosmetologist call out
NICE TO HAVE:
7. Better integration with IG
8. Better quality of pics
9. Shipping page/details/timeline

Goal
This project was done by two software developers, sr. manager of probono projects, a director of cyber security, and myself, ux designer & researcher
There were quite a bit of UX problems within NakedChemistry. First off there were obvious UI elements out of place, Product placement, word placement, and various elements structured poorly.
More importantly the UX aspect of the site wasn't the greatest, it was intuitive, it wasn't easy to navigate, swiftly buy products, etc.
The goal was to address the identified problems by proposing solutions, including redesigning the user experience & interface, reorganizing the landing page, inputting information logically, and making it easy to buy products.
